If you have an iPhone or iPod Touch and visit our site and you also have the latest version of the firmware for each, you will now be able to add our site with our very own WebClip icon.
Other sites such as Meebo and Pocket Tweets (two of the BUMP team favourite) have icons that makes them look like native applications. You can now add our site and you will get our logo, just try it and see.
If you want to add your own webclip icon:
- Make a “png” you want to use that is 57×57 pixels
- Save the file as “apple-touch-icon.png”
- Upload the file to the root of your site
- Navigate to your webpage on your iPhone and try it out!
If you are a little more code and tech savvy you can add a icon for each different page. See The Apple iPhone Devcenter for more details. You don’t need to add the effects like the semi-circle type effect as the iPhone will do that for you. Go out and add us as a webclip and you have easy access to our site wherever you are :D.

Great webclip Chris… I don’t add them unless they have a logo… I think it’s a form OCD.
Oh, can one ask you guy’s oppinions on things? I need a new Mac and I wanted to know which would be best for me.
Keep up the great show!

@Alex
Thanks glad you are enjoying the show!
I have the same problem if it doesn’t have a webclip it doesn’t get an add.
I found that hard as Facebook did not support one untill recently. I did come across a site though where users have posted a way of getting webclips for sites that don’t have them using forwarding and other such methods.
The site is http://www.networkadvanced.com/webclips/index.php not the nicest of sites but helped me out with facebook.
In response to your other comment about a new mac look out for a post I will hopefully be submitting tommorow about which laptop is right for you!

Fantastic! I await your post with bated breath. I did some legal work for Apple last year and got £4K worth of Apple vouchers through the post last week as a thank you or as a mistake: whatever happens they are getting spent before I get asked for them back! :oD I’m looking at that MacBook Air but everyone’s telling me it’s a bad idea! And a new Mac. Looking forward to your post as I’m a boreing barrister with no clue as what to get!
