If you have been following my Software Saturday segment you will know that basically every Saturday I run down or recommend a piece of software that I think people will like or enjoy. After some talks with the rest of the team we want to expand Software Saturday into a video podcast.
What we want to know from you is : Would you like to have a separate feed from the show audio or would you like it all bundled into one feed or even both?
We want to make it as listener friendly as possible so we want to know how you want it. Sound off in the comments below or e-mail bumpodcast [at] googlemail [dot] com.

If you have not bought an iPhone to me it is now looking mighty sexy to anyone who is on the fence here in the UK. O2 have just added some bolt-on packages for the iPhone now to try and entice customers into buying the device. Recently they changed the price plans and now they have added bolt ons.
Basically a bolt on is something you can add to your contract to give you more texts or minutes and O2 have a great selection that are as follows:
If you have been sitting on the fence about an iPhone, now seems like a very nice time to upgrade!

If you have bought your iPhone over here in the UK then you will probably have been scared of the iPhone having a price cut and you might have been scared if you have bought one before now by the title of this post but FEAR NOT!
If you have previously bought your iPhone then you will get this deal. Basically O2 have changed the price plans for the iPhone to try and bring in more customers. They have kept the general same price points but you now get more bang for your buck. Or to be more precise:

If you already have the iPhone then O2 don’t panic O2 are going to be rolling it out for everyone with a contract by mid-march at the latest. Look out for a text on the 7th of February. You won’t need to do anything they will change it all for you.
If you have been putting off the iPhone because you don’t get enough bang for your buck then maybe this will swing you?

Sorry about the lateness of software Saturday and other posts
If you subscribe to many blogs or feeds for podcasts then ,if like me, you haven’t moved away from Safari for ages and have all your bookmarks and feeds saved on that you may want to reconsider using it as your main feed reader now NetNewsWire has gone free.
NetNewsWire is probably in my opinion the best RSS reader out there. If you have been using Safari then you will probably find it a hassle to have to load every feed individually and making all those clicks if you put them in a folder to load each feed can be a pain.

In the days of yore back before this small little blog was spawned there was no such thing as TV shows in the UK according to iTunes. Although we had this device they called the iPod, which would play video, there was only really one legal way of watching video and that was video podcasts. iTunes was just a small lump of a application learning its ways. Then we saw iTunes turn into a bouncing baby application when it signed up some of the shows such as “That’s So Raven” and “Hannah Montana”.
Now our little baby is turning into a boy. With Warner Bros signed up we are getting hits like:
Also joining WB are “Aardman Studios” they are the genius boffins behind the great Plasticine duo “Wallace and Grommit.”
Now we are seeing our iTunes grow up. I don’t think we can call him a man yet as he still hasn’t got his first movie but he will probably panic and give us Matrix 2 as the first one.
Someone at Apple has really started to listen to us here in the UK and with Steve saying at Macworld this year he was determined to get at least Movie Rentals to the UK.
Me and Stu both jumped at the chance to watch these new videos and Stu and I both feel they have great quality. Stu bought Bablyon 5 and I plumped for the Friends episode titled “The One With The Baby On The Bus” which is highly recommended by yours truly. We only have seasons 1-3 of Friends and it looks the same across the board but as time goes on so will more and more content come into iTunes.
I could have a massive rant about how we are not being treated fair but I won’t. What I will mention is the price per season! WOW! That is a lot! Sort it out Apple.
For now though lets celebrate with our model made friends, our iTunes’ first tooth and first words.

If you have an iPhone or iPod Touch and visit our site and you also have the latest version of the firmware for each, you will now be able to add our site with our very own WebClip icon.
Other sites such as Meebo and Pocket Tweets (two of the BUMP team favourite) have icons that makes them look like native applications. You can now add our site and you will get our logo, just try it and see.
If you want to add your own webclip icon:
- Make a “png” you want to use that is 57×57 pixels
- Save the file as “apple-touch-icon.png”
- Upload the file to the root of your site
- Navigate to your webpage on your iPhone and try it out!
If you are a little more code and tech savvy you can add a icon for each different page. See The Apple iPhone Devcenter for more details. You don’t need to add the effects like the semi-circle type effect as the iPhone will do that for you. Go out and add us as a webclip and you have easy access to our site wherever you are :D.

Just in time for valentines day so you can get it for that special loved one in your life. Or if you want to send me one to give to my girlfriend that works as well
How long before we see a pink shuffle?

The MacBook Air was introduced by Steve on Tuesday and it is a very neat little product but people have been writing it off and I’m getting frustrated about it as it means a lot not just for Apple but for Technology as well. That might seem like a bold statement but its not what the individual MacBook it is about what they have done to make it good as it is. Innovation.

As you may have heard in the Apple blogosphere there was a Keynote yesterday done by someone called Steve. Steve told us some very exiting things about Apple and their new (th)inovations and updates and although we have two (both LIVE and Studio) shows all about them in which we will be discussing our views and you can share yours I thought I would give you a quick rundown of the keynote’s announcements.
