If you have been following my Software Saturday segment you will know that basically every Saturday I run down or recommend a piece of software that I think people will like or enjoy. After some talks with the rest of the team we want to expand Software Saturday into a video podcast.
What we want to know from you is : Would you like to have a separate feed from the show audio or would you like it all bundled into one feed or even both?
We want to make it as listener friendly as possible so we want to know how you want it. Sound off in the comments below or e-mail bumpodcast [at] googlemail [dot] com.

Sorry about the lateness of software Saturday and other posts
If you subscribe to many blogs or feeds for podcasts then ,if like me, you haven’t moved away from Safari for ages and have all your bookmarks and feeds saved on that you may want to reconsider using it as your main feed reader now NetNewsWire has gone free.
NetNewsWire is probably in my opinion the best RSS reader out there. If you have been using Safari then you will probably find it a hassle to have to load every feed individually and making all those clicks if you put them in a folder to load each feed can be a pain.

I love to watch movies and TV shows. I love all types of film that are comic genius, such as “Anchorman” to the thought provoking “Schindler’s List” and i love being able to take them with me on my iPod. As we don’t have movies in the UK iTunes store yet clearly i can’t do this. I can however take home movies i have burned to DVD or other DVDs that i can legally rip can be, using Handbreak.

MacTracker
Take a blast to the past with Mactracker! If you are interested in researching the past of Apple then of course there is iWoz(expect a review soon) or iCon: Steve Jobs or other Apple History Books.
These books though do not talk about the computers as much. Nor do they let you hear the start up chime of that old Mac LC that you loved so much. Well with Mactracker they are brought back to life!

Paparazzi
This week with Software Saturday I will be reviewing a little application called Paparazzi.
Paparazzi is a small freeware application that takes screen shots of web pages. You can do this in multiple ways on the mac but by far the easiest is using Paparazzi. You open the application window and type in the URL of the webpage you want to capture. You ca enter some other information such as minimum size and crop size and also a delay. You then hit the big capture button and well……..your done!
The file can be exported in multiple formats such as JPEG and PDF. Also ,in PDF at least, it keeps the links from the webpage in there.
It is really easy to use as you can see there is just one big button that says capture and there you go! Simple and done. I havn’t found any problems and can come in handy if you are going on a plane to take a couple of screenshots of newstorys or anything to read on the plane.
Its free simple and does one job well. All you could want in an application! Check out the website over here.
My rating for Paparazzi:

5 out of 5 stars.
If you have a piece of software that you would like to review yourself send me a link to the piece of software, write up an article and e-mail it to bumpodcast@googlemail.com.

Adium
I like to talk. I like to talk to my friends when i want. That’s why i love things like MSN, AIM and Jabber. Keeps you in touch with your friends when you have an internet connection. One of the things that annoys me though is having iChat, MSN and all the chat clients open. It can get really confusing with all the different windows and can take up valuable memory. That’s where Adium comes in.
